From 4 to 8

Wind & weather same.  At 5 St[eame]r Powell with Flag officer on

board went up to the Galena                                                                                                                                                                                                              Louis Stodder

 

 

From 8 to Meridian

Calm & clear warm weather.  At 11 got under weigh

and proceeded up the weather [river]. at 12 came to anchor off Yorktown P[oin]t 

Mr Gager Act’g Master left the vessel.  his resignation having been accepted by the Sec’y of the Navy                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Geo. Calm & pleasant  St[eame]r Delaware went down to the fleet

and returned.  St[eame]r Powell came alongside with orders

Light breeze from the S.E. & pleasant.  Latter part heavy squall from the East’[wa]rd. St[eame]r Delaware went down & returned
