Rec[eive]d fresh provisions.  calm.  weather clear

From 8 to Meridian

Calm & clear weather.  At 11.45 the Tioga & Currituck

commenced firing towards the right bank of the river

From Meridian to 4

Calm & very sultry.  Firing still going on.  At 1 the St[eame]r.

Yankee came up the river.  And in obedience to signal from Flag ship

Heavy squall from N.E & rain.  At 5.30 St[eame]r Yankee went up the river                                                                                                                       G.F.     Geo. Frederickson

Continues squally with strong breezes from N.E.  

at 6.30 the Yankee returned from up the river
