From 4 to 8

At 6.10 got under way with the fleet and stood down

the river. Wind S.W. weather clear                                                                                                                                                                                                     S.D.G.  S.D. Greene

 

 

From 8 to Meridian

First part cloudy latter part clear.  Wind S.W. at 8.10 anchored

abreast of Westover.  At 8.30 went up abreast of Jordans P[oin]t. and returned

at 11.30 got under way and stood up the river.  The Morse, Southfield & Alert commenced shelling City P[oin]t.  Time in turning around to port 5˚ 20”.  to Starboard

From Meridian to 4

Cloudy & wind S.W. proceeded to City P[oin]t. fired 4

Bierny shells and one shrapnel. At 2 PM proceeded down the river
