At 7 the Galena & Genesee went up the river.

Moderate breezes from the S[outhwar]d & E[astwar]d and pleasant weather.

Wind S & pleasant.  Latter part squally with rain

Wind S. weather cloudy.  At 6.45 the Galena & Cimerron

From 8 to Midnight

Wind S[outhwar]d & W[estwar]d weather squally & raining.  At 9.30

commenced dragging anchor.  got up steam & returned to our berth                                                                                                                                                            WF.  William Flye
