several steamers arrived with troops

Fine weather wind light from N.E.

Received a visit from Gen Hunter-Wool & staff

Mechanics at work aboard

From Meridian to 4 P.M.  same wind & weather  mechanics employed on board

From 4 to 6 P.M Wind W. fine weather

From 8 to Midnight Dark & overcast with baffling airs from the south

& westward ends with light breeze from the N.E. & passing clouds  a towboat removed several schoonersout of the way between us and the guard boats
