Grant clashed in a series of battles that led directly to Appomattox. Visit the battlefield that determined the city's fate, such as the infamous Crater, a section of Petersburg National Battlefield.

After a buffet lunch, tour the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, a winner of national and international awards for excellence. Continue on a guided windshield tour of the streets of Historic Petersburg and Visit Blandford Church and Cemetery, used as a field hospital during the siege.
