Maritime Topic Series: Age of Exploration Series - For Elementary & Middle-School Students
The Mariners’ Museum offers homeschoolers the opportunity to not only learn the basics of individual maritime subjects, but also to explore the material in greater depth. The first session in each series introduces students to the subject matter and builds the foundation for future sessions. Each 3-hour program is divided into three interactive portions:

Following the initial session, students will learn about the remarkable voyages of the Vikings, Chinese, and Arabians; examine the strange and sometimes hilarious interactions between Europeans and the Chinese, Africans, Indians, and Native Americans; and study the technology and skills needed to venture the high seas during the Age of Exploration.
Each session is offered on a Thursday from 1-4 P.M.:
