For the third consecutive year, The Mariners’ Museum’s Interactive Videoconferencing (IVC) program has received a coveted “Teachers’ Favorite” award from Berrien RESA, a leader in connecting teachers with distance learning opportunities around the world.

Teachers Choice Awards 2009 - 2010
"The Mariners' Museum IVC provides excellent hands-on experiences with history with wonderful activities and expert presenters. The presenters were professional and well-informed. The students were engaged. The Pirates program was FABULOUS." At least, that's what educators across the country are saying. Berrien, as the most comprehensive database of videoconference content providers, has been used nationally since 2002 and has been sponsored by Polycom since 2003. The Teachers' Choice Awards program started in 2006 and runs annually in May.

Teachers Choice Awards 2008 - 2009
The Mariners' Museum IVC programs ROCK. At least, that's what the teachers across the country are saying. Beginning in 2000, Berrien Regional Education Service Agency (Berrien RESA) began listing content providers' programs, and continues to offer the most comprehensive database of videoconference content providers for teachers across the country and world for use in seeking and booking distance learning programs. In addition, each spring, Berrien RESA hosts the Teachers' Choice Awards program.

Teachers Choice Awards 2007 - 2008
The Mariners' Museum has received an honorable mention in the Berrien County ISD Teacher's Choice Awards to select the Best Content Providers for the 2007-2008 school year. Berrien County hosts a website listing approximately 250 content providers from the United States and Canada, so it is quite an honor to be selected by teachers from across the country as one of the best. learn more
