TMM Explorers

Friday, October 18, 2013
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Exploration did not just occur during what has become known as the "Age of Exploration." Man explored for thousands of years prior to Christopher Columbus and he continues to explore the unknown today. During this special homeschool day, participants will learn about exploration during the time of Christopher Columbus, discovery and conservation of the USS Monitor, the Franklin Expedition, using shipwrecks as reefs and much more. Students will make connections between explorations of the past and discoveries of today and tomorrow in this Day of Exploration.

Members: $15 per student/adult
Non-members: $20 per student/adult

Price includes homeschool activities, classes, and Museum admission. Children 5 and under get free Museum admission and may participate in activities with their older siblings at no additional fee.
