Concert by the Lake - Slapwater - July 22

Enjoy summer at its very best on the banks of scenic Lake Maury as The Mariners’ Museum continues with its Thursday concert series with popular party/dance band “Slapwater.”

A special thank you to the Peninsula Jaycees, a non-profit group that will be serving for tips for this concert.


Look Who's Playing...

Slapwater has a vast repertoire of songs in a variety of styles. An evening with Slapwater could range in musical variety from a soft dinner set to lively Rock 'n Roll, Motown, Beach, Disco, Oldies, all of your favorite dance music. Stability, great talent, musical variety, clean, balanced sound plus a professional appearance and attitude will make this one of the best concerts at the lake of the season.

Exhibition Highlights
Age of Exploration chronicles developments in shipbuilding, ocean navigation, and cartography of the fifteenth through eighteenth centuries. Free admission to Museum galleries from 4 - 6 P.M.


Behine the Scenes Monitor Conservation Lab Tours
Join Museum conservators every Thursday from 4 - 6 P.M. for a behind-the-scenes tour of the USS Monitor Center Batten Conservation laboratory.
