Kids Fun Run

8:00 AM

A shorter race for the little runners! Pirates of all ages will love this 1/2 mile fun run. All participants receive a finisher’s medal.


$10 in advance

10K on the Noland Trail

8:45 AM

This is the ONLY 10K on the Noland Trail. The course will begin along Museum Drive, continues onto the challenging Noland Trail and finishes in front of the Museum.

5K in the Park

9:15 AM

Runners/Walkers will follow a route along Museum Drive and into other less traveled areas of the Park.

THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF REGISTRATION FOR THE RACE THIS YEAR!

Early Bib Pick-up: Friday, October 14, from 3:30 to 6:30 PM at the Business Entrance.

Race Day Bib Pick-up: Begins at 7:30 AM and closes promptly at 8:15 AM.

T-Shirts and medals:

  • 10K registrants will receive a finishers medal*
  • 10K and 5K registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.* SOLD OUT!

*All participants must be registered by Tuesday, October 4, in order to be guaranteed a shirt and/or medal.

Event is rain or shine. No registration refunds, exchanges, transfers or credits.

General

The race will be located at The Mariners’ Museum. The 5K will be held in the Park and the 10K through the Park and on the Noland Trail.

There will be parking available at The Mariners’ Museum.

The Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:00 AM, the 10K at 8:45 AM, and the 5K at 9:15 AM.

There will be wave starts for both the 5K and 10K, but don’t worry because there will be chip timing so it will not affect your race time.

Yes, the race will be chip timed.

There are no pets allowed, but baby strollers are allowed for the 5K race only.

Yes, the races are walker friendly!

5K in the Park fees:

  • $35 through September 14
  • $40 from September 15 – September 30
  • $45 from October 1 – October 13

There are no refunds for race registration.

No, registration will not be available on the day of the race.

Yes, credit cards can be used online to pay for registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

No, there are not any age restrictions to register for the Pirate Run.

Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in the 5K and 10K races.

Packet Pick-Up

Race packets can be picked up on the day before the race (Friday, October 14) from 3:30 to 6:30 PM at the Museum’s Business Entrance and also on race day from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

As long as whoever is picking up your packet has a copy of your driver’s license, they will be able to pick your packet up for you.

Race day packet pick-up will be from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM.

Race Day

There will be water available to runners at the end of the race.

There will be a post race party, the Party in the Park, where there will be live music, food and refreshments.

There will not be a gear check at the Pirate Run.

Yes, there will be multiple water stops along the course.
