Pirates: Edward Low
Issued 1975
Edward Low
Edward Low and 12 fellow sailors stole a boat and deserted after having a disagreement with the captain of the ship on which they were serving. Low became the leader of this crew and went about capturing several vessels, each larger than the previous. The crew’s fortune was wiped out in a hurricane that sunk most of the ships of their motley fleet; blaming Low, his crew marooned him in 1724.
