The Huntington Room
Named after the Museum's founder, Archer Huntington, The Huntington Room is an elegantly appointed space overlooking the south courtyard. It comfortably accommodates groups of 20 to 180 for a seated reception and 300 for a standing affair. Classroom and theater style also work very well with this rooms dynamics as it includes a LCD projector and built in PA system for no additional fee. In addition to its availability for evening functions, The Huntington Room is the only indoor facility which is able to be used during museum hours.
The South Courtyard
Its breathtaking scenery and neatly groomed landscaping makes The Courtyard is the perfect setting for a daytime event under the sun or an evening dance under the stars. Surrounded by soft lighting, the courtyard makes a great backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Courtyard's unique features include a fountain, a colonnade with ceiling fans, and English-Style lanterns gracing its lawn.
The Great Hall of Steam
For your intimate affair, consider using The Great Hall of Steam. The Great Hall of Steam is the only gallery space available for events in the museum. Your guest are greeted by a large hall filled with spectacular model ships encased in decorative glass cases and overlooked by large statue heads from famous ships.
The Main Lobby
Elegant and distinctive, The Main Lobby is our largest facility accommodating up to 300 people for a seated function and as many as 500 for a standing reception. The majestic gold Lancaster Eagle serves as the focal point of this luxurious space. By renting The Main Lobby, your guests are also able to view the prestigious Chesapeake Bay Gallery at no additional cost.
The Grand Entry Hall & Patio
The Grand Entry Hall & Patio is a unique combination of indoor and outdoor space. A wall of windows overlooks Lake Maury and dancing the night away under the stars is no longer a dream as you host your event under The Grand Entry Hall's three large skylights. Capable of holding a variety of events, it can be a great addition to the main lobby, or rented alone.
