Join The Mariners’ Museum and Park for its annual American Girl Doll drawing! These iconic dolls are a beautiful addition to any playroom for both the young and the young at heart. This year, The Mariners’ Museum presents two unique, themed dolls: The Noland Trail Doll and The Mariners’ Photographer Doll. Each doll will have three special outfits, accessories, and two related books.
All proceeds will go to support programming for The Mariners’ Museum and Park.
This doll is inspired by the Noland Trail, a five mile walking trail through the woods and waters of The Mariners’ Museum Park. She loves to learn about nature and explore the outdoors with her faithful companion Maury (named after Lake Maury in The Mariners’ Museum Park). This summer she will enjoy bird watching and identifying trees on the Noland Trail.
This doll is inspired by The Mariners’ Museum and Park, where she loves to use her camera to take photographs of nature and historical artifacts. And she never forgets to take selfies of herself and her furry friend Archer (named after The Mariners’ Museum’s founder Archer Huntington). One of her favorite exhibitions at the Museum is Seizing the Moment, The Evolution of Action Photography, which is currently on display through the end of summer.
