Enjoying the outdoors is healthy and fun, but would you know how to handle the first FIVE minutes of an emergency without a hospital nearby or a quick access point for first responders? Come gain life saving skills or sharpen what you already know at The Mariners’ Museum and Park on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 when the Protection Services team looks to reinforce its knowledge with the MEDIC SOLO Disaster + Travel + Wilderness First Aid Training Course.
A blended experience of classroom and hands-on learning, participants receive hands-on Medic-style training on how to save life and limb during the critical minutes or hours before first responders arrive. The way in which YOU handle the first several minutes of an emergency can make the difference between life & death. Participants completing the two-day course will obtain the internationally-renowned 2-year certification from SOLO, the oldest continuously-operating school of wilderness medicine in the world.
This certification course is great for Noland Trail enthusiasts, as well. Registration is required online at:
(Note: 10% of the proceeds from the training course will help benefit The Mariners’ Museum.)
