Join The Mariners’ Museum and Park as it partners with the American Red Cross for the second time this year, serving as a host site for a blood drive.
The Red Cross is facing a critical need for all blood types, especially type O and platelets, but donors of all blood types are always needed for ongoing patient care and emergencies. The need is more urgent than ever as there is no known end date in this fight against coronavirus.
Did you know that your donation can save up to THREE lives? Sign up to give a blood or platelets donation today! Register here or Call 1-800-RED-CROSS. Participants can also visit redcrossblood.org , and enter “Mariners” to schedule an appointment.
Save a life, give blood.
The Mariners’ Museum and the American Red Cross will be following all health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID, which includes: requiring masks at all times of both staff and donors, distancing donors appropriately, temperature checks before entering the Huntington Room as well as a questionnaire for prospective donors to answer to ensure no one has possibly been exposed.
The Museum will ensure that all areas such as the restrooms and door handles around the Business Entrance and Huntington Room will be sanitized at least every two hours, and there will be hand sanitizer and access to wash hands in the blood drive area.
