The Mariners’ Museum and Park and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture invite educators from the public, private and homeschool sectors for a free, in-person workshop at The Mariners’ Museum. Come engage with educators from both museums on the project-based learning program, Virginia History Day, and learn how to make history engaging and fun for your students!
About the workshop:
Teachers will bolster their historical thinking and primary source research skills, learn how to introduce these concepts to their students, and take away resources and techniques that can be used in their classrooms.
Coffee and refreshments will be provided. Participating teachers will be eligible for CEUs and recertification points. All Virginia social studies educators, including from homeschools and private schools, are encouraged to attend.
The workshop will include free admission and a guided tour of The Mariners’ Museum. Space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot today!
