During 2014, we elected to change our fiscal year end from December 31 to September 30. The fiscal year was changed to better monitor the Museum’s revenue cycle and was approved by the Board of Trustees effective January 1, 2014. Our revenue, expenses and 990 forms for 2014 reflect the nine-month period of January 1, 2014 – September 30, 2014.
How is our revenue spent? All of our expenses support our mission of connecting people to the world’s waterways through exploration and engaging experiences. Our exhibitions, programs, and events provide new and improved opportunities to engage with our community.
We’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and we’re externally audited as we are dedicated to our accountability and transparency so that our guests and donors can feel confident about their support. You can download our financial documents below.
