The Legacy Society

A Gift for the Future

The Legacy Society was created to honor and thank our friends who have included The Mariners’ Museum and Park in their estate or giving plans by naming the Museum as a beneficiary to wills, living trusts, IRAs, and other methods of planned gifts.

For more than 80 years, The Mariners’ Museum has given hundreds of thousands of visitors a world-class look at the many faces of humanity’s common maritime heritage. Since 1930, founder Archer Huntington has been joined by collectors, scholars, and committed supporters of the Museum in striving to provide the resources needed to conserve and enhance the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, and educational programs.

The Museum has been fortunate to receive financial legacies in the form of bequests and estate gifts from many generous donors. These donors establish future gifts through bequests and trusts, charitable gift annuities, life insurance gifts, and other planned giving methods. Giving techniques such as these are a way of planning for the Museum’s future along with your own.
