Rock your way to donate blood, and save a life!

The Mariner’s Museum and Park is partnering with the American Red Cross this summer to serve as a host site for a critical blood drive. Blood supplies are low nationwide, and donors of ALL blood types are always needed.

Everyone who donates blood will receive a free FM99 Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive T-shirt. Donors will also receive a free admission pass to The Mariners’ Museum and get a free donut from Dunkin Donuts as an after-donation snack.

Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to make an appointment. Sign up to give blood or platelets donation today! Register here or Call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Did you know that your donation can save up to THREE lives?

Participants can also visit redcrossblood.org , and enter “Mariners” to schedule an appointment.

*There’s a minimum height and weight requirement for “Power Red” donors. Click here to find out whether you meet those requirements before scheduling an appointment.

The Mariners’ Museum and the American Red Cross will be following all health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID. Here are a few things to know:

  • Staff, volunteers, and blood donors will be required to wear face masks and socially distance regardless of vaccination status.
  • We encourage donors to bring their own face mask that covers both their nose and mouth. If a donor does not have a mask, we will provide one. If a donor does not want to wear a mask, we ask that they postpone their donation for a later date.
  • Proof of vaccination will not be a requirement. We trust that our blood donors will provide honest responses.
  • There will be hand sanitizer available, and access to wash hands in the blood drive area.

Both the Museum and the Red Cross are committed to operating the blood drive in the safest way possible for donors, volunteers, and staff.
