Join us for a relaxing kayak paddle on beautiful Mariners’ Lake!

Enjoy expansive lake views and peaceful forested coves from the water. Explore the Lake’s natural wonders and discover the Museum’s deeply-rooted connection to the Newport News community. All kayaking skill levels are welcome!*
Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets (personal flotation devices, or PFDs) are included in the program fee. Expect to get a little wet so wear comfortable clothing. Close-toed shoes are recommended.
Advance registration is required. $10 per person.
Space is limited to 10 individuals for a memorable experience.
Registration:
*Children ages 5-17 years and weighing more than 30 lbs. may participate in this event accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their supervision. In addition, for this particular group paddle, children ages 5-8 must ride in tandem to ensure they keep up with the group and children ages 9+ may paddle in a single kayak.
